DIAMOND BEAUTILLION

The Diamond Beautillion is an 8-month Leadership Development Program for high school juniors and seniors. It provides leadership training via workshops, community service projects, fellowship and cultural activities. Participants receive assistance in funding their post-secondary education.

ABOUT

Since its inception in 2005, the Diamond Beautillion Program has matriculated more than 75 young men and awarded over $150,000 in post-secondary education scholarships to those participating young men; who exemplify academic promise, strong leadership and community involvement. All of this enables our participants to realize their inherent potential and possibilities.

The Diamond Beautillion Program is an opportunity unlike any other available in the Atlanta Metro area for African American high school juniors and seniors transitioning from high school to college.

This biennial, eight month leadership development program is designed to:

  • Support male high school juniors and seniors transition from boyhood to manhood
  • Facilitate habits that foster independence and accountability both in college and subsequent life
  • Provide scholarship awards to financially support undergraduate studies
  • Celebrate their completion with a culminating banquet for family, friends and community to witness

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The Diamond Beautillion Program requires that each participant attend monthly Saturday workshops where they engage in discussions and activities around topics such as:

  • College Readiness and College Applications
  • Time Management
  • Finance and Economic Empowerment
  • Law and Politics
  • Personal Brand
  • Community Service
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Public Speaking
